Our selection of weekend events on our side of the mountain, including the Jazz in the Park concert in Maynardville.

  • Cape Cobras vs Warriors (Sunfoil Series). The Cobras are already off to an explosive start.  Sahara Park, Newlands. Thu-Sun
  • Bay Harbour Market, Hout Bay. Weekly indoor food, fashion and entertainment market in Hout Bay.
  • The Music Shop, Rosebank Theatre. A musical production about the journey of six survivors who rediscover the joys of lost songs and forgotten dances. With the music of  Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Burl Ives, McCartney, Mick Jagger, the Dubliners, and the Animals, Featuring Nicholas Ellenbogen and Liz Szymczak. Fri and Sat


  • Absa Cape Epic MTB Stage Race: The Prologue. Newlands Picnic Site. Watch as atheletes participate in the time trial time trial that will determine their seeding for the first stage of the world-renowned mountain bike race.
  • Heart Market at Organic at Heart Constantia Road, Plumstead. Organic produce, natural products and handmade crafts.
  • Jazz in the Park Concert , Maynardville Amphitheatre, Wynberg. The highly acclaimed jazz singer and pianist, Amanda Tiffin, performs alongside guitarist Mike Campbell and the UCT big band, raising funds for persons with physical disabilities. Picnic baskets are allowed on site.
