After months of petitions and emails between the Concerned Residents and the City Council, 27 Orient Road was finally declared a problem building at the end of February 2014. As a result, the owners were legally compelled to secure the building, which over the past months had been vandalised, been a drug den, a health risk and a base from where criminals entered surrounding properties.
